Nothing but background
I ran a new software that I purchased called "Driver Genius." I ran the software and it downloaded the most updated drivers for my machine. After rebooting everything seemed normal 'till I clicked into a Windows account. All that came up is the background.
No icons, no start bar, Control-Alt-Delete won't even work. I tried to reload Windows XP Pro and now it does the same thing. I tried to log on in safe mode to reload the drivers and it won't let me boot up to safe mode with networking. It says that the
windows version is not yet registered and won't let into any of the accounts. In safe mode as Administrator it will let me run Driver Genius, but it can't download the drivers because networking is not available. The people at Avanquest said that I need
to reformat my hard drive and completely reload Windows XP Pro. When I complained that would wipe all my files they suggested that I remove the hard drive and transfer my data to another machine and then reformat and reload. I need help, any ideas???
